Tour de Farm Warren County - September 22, 2018

The Tour de Farm Warren County, on Saturday, September 22, 2018, is one of two 2018 bicycling tours which will help promote our NJ Farmers and their Farms. We are offering 3 different rides on this date. Ride distances are mainly determined by which farms are participating. Click on Bicycle Routes below to see distances and routes. 

A cycling ticket includes: A locally-sourced breakfast, a TDF t-shirt (for the first 400 registrants), participant wristband, small tastings along the cycling route, energy bars/snacks and water along the cycling route, bathrooms at each farm, free day-of parking at the start/finish, route signage marking every turn, cue sheets, and SAG wagon support. Genesis Farm Community Garden

41 Silver Lake Rd # B, Blairstown, New Jersey

The Community Supported Garden at Genesis Farm was founded in 1988 as a not-for-profit corporation. It is one of the oldest CSA's in the country and the first in New Jersey. The Garden leases approximately 51 acres from Genesis Farm, which is owned by the Dominican Sisters who have protected the land through the state farmland preservation program.

Circle Brook Farm is a diversified, certified organic, vegetable farm. We grow virtually every type of produce that is possible in our climate- from arugula to zucchini. Included in the planting list are many heirloom varieties such as the Rattlesnake pole bean, Costata Romanesco squash, heirloom melons, and many varieties of heirloom tomatoes. We also grow many unique varieties such as Japanese salad turnips, ground cherries (cape gooseberries), white sweet potatoes, sugarsnap peas, multi-colored carrots as well as oakleaf and other types of lettuce you will never find in the supermarket.

Welcome to Longmeadow Farm! Started in 1993, we originally began by selling pumpkins for Halloween. But it wasn’t long before Bradley Burke, Longmeadow’s owner, felt that something more was in order. And with that decision, our apple orchard was planted. Today, Longmeadow Farm has 15 varieties of apples along with our pumpkins and so much more.

Set on 600 acres and farming 800 total acres, the farm prides itself on its registered holsteins and continual expansion of crops. We are keeping farming in New Jersey and supplying our customers with fresh, local produce!

Rock ridge Farm

144 Whitehall Road, Andover, NJ

A gorgeous 600 acre farm, they use the Pasture Salad method using various grasses and a diverse mixture of legumes. Each legume and grass has a different nutritional value which allows their cattle, hens and broilers a nutritionally balanced diet. 

They use a method of daily rotational grazing for their beef cattle to ensure the most natural, best quality beef. Each day they move their their cattle to a new and fresh pasture salad, therefore maintaining a steady diet and clean environment. This ensures that the cattle remain healthy and that the meat has a superior flavor that is tender and juicy. 

Their priority and commitment is to produce quality beef without compromising the health of the cattle.

Little Big Farm is a small family flower farm nestled in the foothills of northern Warren County, New Jersey. Owned and operated by Patricia Kraemer-Doell, the primary farming activity is to grow the most beautiful blooms possible without the use of pesticides or herbicides. Our customers seek organically grown, locally sourced fresh cut flowers for their weddings, parties, and design activities.


Hidden Woods Farm

228 Silver Lake Road, Blairstown, NJ

Hidden Woods Farm is a local, family owned and operated farm in Blairstown, NJ. They raise Angus beef cattle and Berkshire pigs. They also have heritage breed, pastured laying hens. Their Angus beef cattle rotationally graze on their pesticide and herbicide free pastures. They are grass-fed and also get a small amount of certified organic, non-GMO feed to give the meat some marbling. Their Berkshire pigs are also fed certified organic, non-GMO feed, as well as vegetables from their organic garden. Their heritage breed laying hens are moved through their pastures in a mobile coop. They spend their days foraging and they are also fed a certified organic non-GMO feed. Their meats are butchered by a specialty artisan butcher and are USDA inspected and stamped. They have their smoking done all naturally and nitrate-free. Their sausages do not contain any fillers nor preservatives. 


This breakfast is included as part of the Tour de Farm Warren County registration price, featuring Race Farm fruits and vegetables.

8am-10am: Check-in and enjoy your included delicious, locally-sourced breakfast!!! Please print out and bring your signed waiver, ticket, and photo ID with you for check-in. This is a Rain or Shine event - no refunds. We ask that you bring cash to purchase farm products which will be brought back to Race Farm by 1pm. 

8am: Longest Tour Begins - The Longest Tour length is 61.4 miles. The Tour de Farm NJ Long Tours are recommended for very avid, very fit bicyclists. If you have any doubts at all about riding and finishing, we recommend taking the shorter, less challenging tours.

8am:  Opening ceremonies. 

8:30am: The Medium Tour Begins. The Not-So-Extreme is 42.2 miles.

9am: The Shortest Begins. The Shortest is 18.0 miles. You can visit the Tour de Farm Warren County participating farms starting at 9am.

12-3pm: A Farm to Fork "Gourmet Brown Bag Luncheon" will be hosted and catered by Jeanny Race at Race Farm




Routes subject to change. Routes will be finalized within 60 days of the event date. We will hand out turn-by-turn directions on the day of.
